Molly has been immersed in the dance world from a young age, training full-time in ballet while completing high school. Her passion for movement led her to study a wide range of dance styles, taking her education across New York and Europe in pursuit of her love for the stage.
After sustaining a major ankle injury, Molly discovered Pilates as part of her rehabilitation. What started as a way to return to dance soon became a vital practice to build strength, flexibility, and resilience. Alongside her own training, Molly found joy in teaching—helping the next generation of dancers develop dedication, poise, and determination.
With dreams of performing at the Moulin Rouge, Molly travelled to Paris for auditions just before the pandemic. When COVID-19 put the dance world on pause, she turned her focus to Pilates, initially as a complement to her own training. Soon after, she began teaching Pilates alongside dance, quickly realising her passion for helping others move, heal, and grow.
In 2022, at just 22 years old, Molly was offered the opportunity to take over the studio where she taught—and The Pilates Affect was born. Her dedication, drive, and love for helping people overcome injuries, find freedom in movement, and become their strongest selves continues to inspire everything she does at TPA.
After graduating high school, I began studying Sport and Nutrition Science at university, where my passion for exercise and wellness naturally led me to become a Pilates instructor. With a background in netball, Pilates was a completely new challenge that transformed my perspective on fitness—and I quickly fell in love with it. Nothing compares to the strength, focus, and energy a Pilates workout brings. I feel so grateful to be part of The Pilates Affect team and I’m excited to support clients in achieving their goals and experiencing all the benefits Pilates has to offer.
I first tried Pilates with a friend for fun and immediately fell in love with it. It’s the only form of exercise I’ve ever been able to stick with— not just because of how amazing it makes you feel, but because it’s genuinely fun! Who knew one piece of equipment could do so much?
One day I realised I could turn my passion into a career, so I reached out to Molly to learn how she got started—and the rest is history.
When I’m not on a reformer, you’ll usually find me kayaking when the weather’s warm, or curled up by the fire with a cup of tea (or sometimes a glass of wine) when it’s cold. I’m so excited to begin my instructor journey at TPA and can’t wait to see you in class!
Louis has been living his best Pilates life since day one, growing up right here in the studio. He’s our happiest greeter, always ready with a wag and eager for cuddles from his Pilates friends. His favourite things include snacks, toys, and a good scratch—but don’t worry, he naps peacefully while everyone gets their workout in. Louis can’t wait to say hi to you!
